Terms & Conditions

Welcome to RuchiRoots. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the purchase of our mom-made pickle products. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to these Terms. RuchiRoots is operated by Suhail PVP from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

1. Products

RuchiRoots offers handcrafted achaars including Lemon & Dates Achaar (vegetarian), Prawn Achaar (non-vegetarian, contains seafood), and Lakshadweep Tuna Fish Achaar (non-vegetarian, contains fish). Product images, descriptions, and prices on our website are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to limit quantities or discontinue products.

All products are FSSAI licensed. Seafood pickles are developed under technical guidance from ICAR-CIFT. Please read allergen information on product labels and pages before ordering.

2. Orders & payment

  • Orders may be placed via our contact form, email, phone, or WhatsApp.
  • Order confirmation is subject to product availability and payment verification.
  • Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors or suspected fraud.

3. Shipping & delivery

  • We deliver across Bengaluru and select cities in India. Delivery timelines will be confirmed at the time of order.
  • Free delivery within Bengaluru may apply on orders above ₹999, as communicated at checkout.
  • Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery to the carrier or upon hand delivery, as applicable.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by courier services, weather, or events beyond our reasonable control.

4. Returns & refunds

Due to the perishable nature of food products, we generally do not accept returns once a product has been dispatched, except in the following cases:

  • Product received damaged, leaked, or with a broken seal — report within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.
  • Wrong product delivered — report within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Product past its stated shelf life at time of delivery.

Approved refunds or replacements will be processed within 7–10 business days. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error was ours.

5. Food safety & allergens

Our products contain allergens as listed on individual product pages and jar labels. Prawn and Tuna achaars contain seafood and mustard. Lemon & Dates Achaar contains mustard. If you are allergic to fish, prawn, mustard, or any listed ingredient, do not consume the product.

Store products as directed on the label. Refrigerate after opening. Use clean, dry utensils. RuchiRoots is not liable for illness or adverse reactions resulting from failure to follow storage instructions or undisclosed allergies.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including logos, product photography, copy, and design — is the property of RuchiRoots or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

7. Website use

You agree not to misuse our website, attempt unauthorised access, transmit harmful code, or use our services for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access to our website at any time for maintenance or security reasons.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, RuchiRoots and Suhail PVP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or website. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

9. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We encourage you to contact us first at hello@ruchiroots.com to resolve any concerns amicably.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of our website or placement of orders after changes constitutes acceptance.
